The coronavirus pandemic requires us to adapt to some new habits. Health support kits are essential tools that you can use at home. Panasonic is trying to provide a solution to this problem by launching the nanoe X air purifier, which is claimed to reduce the spread of the Covid 19 virus.
Review tested one of its flagship products, the nanoe X F-PXU70A air purifier. Currently, the price of this Panasonic air purifier is 8 million rupiah.
What is our experience with this product to improve health at home? Panasonic Nanoe X F-PXU70A air purifier review.
Highlights of the Panasonic nanoe X F-PXU70A air purifier
The biggest feature of the Panasonic air purifier is the Nanoe X. What is the Nanoe X? nano X consists of water molecules and hydroxyl radical molecules.
Nanoe X technology can release 4.8 trillion OH radical ions per second, which can last a long time in the air, preventing the growth of the SARS-2 coronavirus.
This technology made by Panasonic is claimed to be able to reduce the SARS-2 corona virus by up to 99.99%. A study by French company Texel also supports Panasonic’s claims.
This technique is also useful for killing bacteria and fungi, removing unpleasant odors, and moisturizing the skin and hair.
In air-conditioned rooms, NanoX technology adheres to fat and forms a layer on the skin, preventing the skin from becoming dry and dull. Multifunctional isn’t it?

2. HEPA filter and deodorizing filter
Panasonic air purifiers are equipped with two filters: a HEPA filter and a deodorizing filter. The two differ in their ability to trap particles in the air and provide clean air as a final product.
The HEPA filter is said to be capable of filtering up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. With this feature, this filter can block allergens, viruses and bacteria.
On the other hand, deodorizing filters are said to be able to remove unpleasant odors such as cigarette smoke and cooking.
This combination creates clean air free from allergens, viruses and bacteria, and can filter air up to 2.5 micrometers in size.
For those who don’t know, PM 2.5 stands for fine particulate matter. In other words, air pollutants are harmful at high concentrations in the air.
The number 2.5 is less than 2.5 microns. For example, the average diameter of a human hair is 50 microns.
According to the National Library of Medicine, prolonged exposure to PM 2.5 can increase disease severity in people with COVID-19. This air purifier also has a high CADR level, which reduces the risk of cancer. Panasonic’s HEPA filters also meet medical standards such as MERV-19 or H-13.
Panasonic nanoe X F-PXU70A Performance air purifier overview
First of all, I want to be honest with you that reviewing this product is a challenge in itself. Unlike other electronic devices with clear parameters, you need to measure the invisible air with this air purifier.
So apart from your senses, you should try to fully rely on the sensing capabilities of this device.
But don’t worry. There are still key external parameters that can be monitored. Keep reading for our review of one of the best air purifiers on the market.

We tested this cleaner in a 40 square meter room. Panasonic claims on its website that the device can provide optimal performance in an area of 52 square meters. See full specifications here.
The first impression I got when using this device was its practicality. There are three main command buttons on the top and an LCD panel on the front that displays several indicators.
The back panel has a filter for easy opening of the case. There are two filters on the panel: a deodorizing filter and a HEPA filter.
If the filter is dirty, it can be cleaned easily because the installation is very simple. The flexibility afforded by Panasonic makes it very easy to use a device with unusual parts.
It is a device designed to be placed on the floor so that anyone can easily access it, and the child lock button is also expected to be used indiscriminately. This function can be activated/deactivated by pressing the power button for 3 seconds.
The front LCD panel displays several indicators such as fan size, air quality and pollutant detection sensors in large and clear graphs. Simple and purposeful.

Test conditions: 40m2 house living room, open and close the main doors and windows, exhaust gas, cooking gas.
As previously mentioned, Panasonic has installed a simple LCD screen with a pollutant sensor light on the front of the F-PXU70A air purifier.
There are three colors of the pollutant indicator light that change automatically according to the ambient air conditions: blue, purple and red. Blue is clean air quality, purple is moderately dirty air, and red is minimal air quality.
Using BukaReview, the performance of this air purifier is very impressive. For example, we placed this unit in the living room close to a residential highway.
When me or a neighbor about 5m from my house heats up the car, the lights immediately turn purple. This air purifier detects the characteristic odor of exhaust gases which you can smell in seconds. It was very responsive before I even had a chance to smell the exhaust fumes.
Not only that, the lights immediately turn on when the road conditions are dusty due to the wind. As with devices that are aware of the dangers of cigarette smoke, so does the presence of cigarette smoke in the living room. This air purifier will immediately change color to red indicating the lowest air quality.
It depends on the smell and level of contaminants, but in my experience this air purifier can ‘do its job’ from purple to blue in up to 30 minutes on average.
This air purifier is sensitive not only to bad air conditions caused by pollutants, but also to very annoying food odors, such as when frying fish or enjoying nasi padang. The indicator color will change immediately. All odors are treated equally with this air purifier, but not all are harmful.
The reason I often use silent mode is because I want to improve detection. So I just rely on the intelligence of this tool.
However, if the indicator shows a red number, the fan is not working as hard as in high speed mode as when setting the fan manually. I don’t know if this device actively uses the Nano-X feature instead of a fan.
The ability of this high speed sensor from Panasonic is very commendable. Without realizing it, I feel more protected from harmful pollutants in my home. So it felt like a dedicated security guard protecting the air around me.

Test conditions: 40 sqm house living room, quiet, no external sound other than static electricity, early morning, using the Android Sound Meter app
For a machine of this size, the main concern that may come to the user’s mind is noise.
As a simple way to measure noise levels, I tried using the Panasonic F-PXU70A air purifier. I’m using a sound meter app that uses the phone’s microphone as input. 90 decibels is the loudest sound the human ear can handle.
Indeed, the accuracy is not as high as a professional sound meter, but at least this method can give you an idea of the sound produced by this air purifier.
I placed the phone that works as a microphone about 15cm from this air purifier.
You can choose from 3 levels of pan volume. We tested each of these levels, including the auto mode. Then compare it with the condition of our house which is quiet in the morning, without outside noise that can interfere with our judgment. Here is the result:
In general, the performance of the Panasonic F-PXU70A air purifier is very quiet, especially in automatic mode. The noise is only quite annoying when the fan volume is at its highest level. However, I don’t think this is a problem considering you rarely need that much volume unless the air quality in the room is very poor.
Therefore, this air purifier is suitable to be installed in the bedroom other than the living room. Because his voice is calm and unobtrusive. Besides a good night’s sleep and fresh air, what combination is the most comfortable?
In general, the results of the BukaReview test show that Panasonic has reliable performance as a means of supporting family health. In this era of pandemic, it is not unreasonable to use this air purifier as a smart investment to protect the health of your family.
In addition, although it is a smart device that can be plugged in and forgotten in practical use, it has a great ripple effect. So, are you looking to buy the Panasonic Nanoe X F-PXU70A air purifier after reading the reviews? Find items here.
