Sometimes you can get an almost perfect picture unless the one person you really want isn’t around. Instead of trying to get everyone to the same place to recreate photos with everyone you want, you can use an image editor like Adobe Photoshop to add them to your photos. Just follow a few steps and you can add people to your photos in no time.
Catch people in pictures
Select a photo. When you try to add people to a photo, you want to see if any photos of people out of work match the photos you added. For example, if you want to add your best friend to a photo of a group of friends at the beach, don’t use her photo in a Christmas sweater. The photos aren’t great so one could say people are manipulating them.
It would be perfect if you could find photos of your friends with simple or uncomplicated backgrounds. The busier the background, the more work you will have to do to remove it later.
I want the photo of the person I’m adding to be larger or larger than the photo I’m adding. If you need to zoom in on the person you’re adding, it’s split to look like it’s in the photo, give up the hard work.
Also try to balance the tone and brightness. If you’re at the beach, find friends in the sun. You can process the color later, but it will be difficult to work with later.
Choose someone. The image of the shape you cut out should be opened in Photoshop. Select the Lasso tool from the toolbar. The tightrope icon is the third icon from top to bottom on the side toolbar. Start near the shape and rotate it around the shape while holding down the left mouse button. When you look around the person, the lines you draw become highlight lines, which move along the edges of the drawing.
You don’t have to be too precise. Make sure you don’t accidentally cut off any part of the body. Any additional backgrounds you have will be removed later.
Copy and paste the shape. Now that the shape is highlighted, we need to copy the shape so we can paste it into our group photo. Click the Edit menu option at the top of the screen. Click Copy in the drop-down menu. You should now open the group photo. When it opens, click on the image. Then return to the Edit menu and select Paste from the drop-down menu. This will paste the highlighted shapes from the original image into the group image.
Instead of using the menu bar, you can also copy an image by pressing the Control key (Command on a Mac) and the C key. To paste, simply click Control (or Command) and V.
Resize the shape. Now that the shape is in the photo, we need to resize it to fit the people in the group. To do this, use the Free Transform tool . Make sure the shape layer is selected, which you can usually do in the Layers panel on the right side of the workspace. After selecting the shape layer, go to the Edit menu option and choose Free Transform . A box will appear outside the layer. Shift-click in the corner of the box and drag the box inward to make the shape smaller. Continue to zoom out until it’s the same size as the people in the group photo.
You have to hold down the Shift key. Avoid changing the proportions of the shapes in the image.
Instead of clicking the menu bar, you can use the Free Transform tool by clicking the control (or command) and T key.
Remove extra background. To make the shape look like it belongs to the photo, you need to remove the original background around the shape. You will need an eraser tool to do this. To get started, click on the shape layer in the Layers panel. At the bottom of the Layers window is a button with a gray rectangle with a white circle in the center called the Layer Mask button. Click this option to separate the image from other layers. Now click on the Eraser tool in the toolbar on the left. This tool is in the center of the bar and contains a rectangular eraser. At the top of the screen are the eraser options. Change the brush size to around 60 or 70 px by clicking the down arrow and moving the arrow or entering a new size. Also change the longitude at the bottom of the list to 0. You can now remove most of the extra background around the shape.
Get close to the shape, but don’t erase any parts. Any excess remaining around the body is brushed off with a smaller brush.
If you are using a white or solid background, you can use the magic wand tool to separate and remove the background. Just click on the magic wand tool, choose a background color and hit delete when all are highlighted.
Complete the form of insulation. Now that most of the background has been removed, we need to remove the redundant background to isolate the shape. Change the brush size to 20-30 px in the eraser options above. You will also need to change the hardness to 50 or higher. When you’re done with the eraser, click the plus sign or scale it at the bottom of the window to enlarge the image. Get as close as possible so you can easily see the edges of the image. Remove the rest of the background from the shape.
If you accidentally delete part of the form or make a mistake, simply press the Cancel button under ‘Edit ‘ in the menu bar.
Customize People with Photos
Move the layer. Now that the shapes are the same size and isolated as the rest of the group, we need to move the layer where we want it. To do this, make sure the shape layer is selected. Click the Transfer tool, the tool above the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Click to grab the shape layer, hold down the left mouse button and drag it to the desired location.
Change lighting. Now that the shape is the same size as the other shapes, we have to match the colors. With the shape layer selected, click the icon next to the mask button at the bottom of the layers screen. It has a two-color circle. Click to open the menu screen. Click on the Curves option and a dialog will appear. I have a rectangle with a diagonal in the middle. Click the line in the middle, click half in the middle, half in the middle. Each point shown can be used to move the line. You should now play with this option level. You can move the lines up and down, increase or decrease the light and contrast as they move. Play around with the layers until they match the group layers.
If there is a slight difference between the layers , you can change the brightness and contrast in the image menu bar. Just adjust the line back and forth.
You may see a dialog pop up trying to create a curved layer on the shape. When it appears , press OK to create a Curves Layer Mask.
You can also change the lighting in the original group photo. To change it, click on the background layer, select the same icon at the bottom of the screen and follow the same steps as the shape layer until the two layers are close together.
color matching. Now that the lighting has been applied directly to the character, we need to match the character’s skin tone. To do this, make sure the shape layer is selected. Tap the circle of the same two colors at the bottom of the layer screen and choose Hue/Saturation from the menu. You can change the Hue, Saturation and Brightness on the screen. Hue changes the highlight color and low light color to another color. Saturation changes the focus of skin tone, making it lighter or duller. Brightness changes the general lighting of the shape. You have to manipulate the disc until the shape matches the color set.
